Just an observation. Funny how quickly Obama changed his opinion and policy on the birth control issue. Wouldn't have anything to do with it being an election year would it ? Now if we could only get the lawmakers to act that quickly on other policies. Of course from what I hear he just shifted the responsibility to the insurance company. If the employer doesn't wish to pay for that benefit the insurance carrier will be compelled to provide the pills at no cost. Right ! The insurance company is not going to change the cost of their policies to account for that. I can see that. Kind of a catch twenty two.
The president and his cronies must think we are really stupid. Does it make any difference if the bill says birth control pills or toe nail clipping ? The insurance carrier is going to charge something,somewhere. You know it,I know it and I'm sure the president knows it ! If you can compel insurance companies to provide services free of charge our whole medical crisis would be solved. The insurance companies will just pay for it !
The central issue is the Catholic church refuses to pay for something they consider immoral. I respect that. Whether they pay directly or indirectly makes no difference. The government has no business forcing this on them. One should remember this is the same administration that provided illegal guns to dope dealers ! The result there was getting some of our own agents shot with the same guns. What one has to do with the other I'm not sure but it does. Does this administration feel they are above the constitution ? And just what are our elected lawmakers thinking about ?
The american public got the President to act quickly on this. Why ? Because he felt his re election chances were being damaged. It had nothing to do with anything else. If we,the American voting public, could get the same message across to all those in Washington we could get real change. Let the bums know we mean business !
