It is over

Well,another vacation is over. Had a wonderful time with the kids and Grandkids. I think we are all swum out. New word there. We went,we swam and we are now swum out ! Had a nice ride back home and into the real world again. The grass needs to be cut,the pool needs cleaning,the laundry needs doing and,oh yeah,have to go back to work too ! Bummer.
I love vacation.Going places and doing things every day. Everyone around you excited to be doing something. It is great. Too bad we couldn't live every day like a vacation. At least with the enthusiasm that we do. I suppose that is why it is called vacation. We vacate our normal routine and enter a new world. A world of excitement and adventure. Doing only what we want to do. Well,almost,sometimes we just have to go along with the others but even that is fun. Wouldn't hurt us all to just go along with others sometimes when we are not on vacation either.
When on vacation it is fun to try to interact with the natives. You can always tell who they are. They are probably not smiling or wearing beach wear. If the are employed by the resort they will be friendly enough and if they are not they probably won't be. I understand,I have invaded their space. Most are polite enough and have grown accustomed to the tourist. All will gladly take your money. I don't blame them for that.The native is a tricky animal. They can turn on you in a moment,so beware.
I was thinking about how quickly time goes by. Memorial day,gone,fourth of July,done,vacation,over the carnival has come and gone. Soon it will be labor day and back to school ! Then Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year; I need another vacation !
