Ever notice how every time someone invents some new technology that has great potential for good the first thing that happens is someone else figures out a way to use it for bad. Take cell phones for instance. A wonderful device that has the potential to be a real lifesaver. Didn't take people long to figure out a way to abuse it. Next thing you knew you were getting all kinds of calls for all kinds of things. I'm forever getting a pix or flix message and my phone won't even accept them. The cell phone companies almost run some people into bankruptcy ! The plans were so complicated nobody could figure them out. Now they have plans to include all your children and make it seem like if you don't you are endangering your children. Wouldn't have anything to do with potential new customers would it ? The abuse is so bad we had to make laws governing their use.
The Internet is another fine example. The information highway. It quickly became a highway full of very bad truck stops ! You have to have filters on your computer to try to block out this trash. Other rip off artists abound,the hackers and those that just lie to you online to gain whatever it is they desire. The Internet can be a very useful tool indeed but isn't it a shame that it also is a tool for the corrupt and downright evil people in the world.
I guess it is just human nature that some strive to do good while others constantly look for the shortcut. It has been that way since the beginning of time and I'm sure it will continue.
