There comes a time when all the words have been spoken. The time for quiet reflection and introspection is all that remains. A wise man knows when that time has arrived. This time comes not as a result of anger or malice, but as a matter of course. When you have expressed all your belief and sentiment, begged, pleaded ranted and raved and the other party is unmoved, it is time.
Now this realization is sometimes difficult to comprehend. Sometimes it is impossible.Sometimes it arrives as a sudden realization, like a flash of light. In that instant you can see. Other times it may take years. It is a comfort when that realization does arrive. An ending. Endings are not always sad, there are happy endings.
I think it is something that we all have to learn. We need to learn that there are those times and circumstances when that is the case. The end, the words all spoken and nothing more to say.
