I'm not a lawyer, but I have watched Perry Mason, Ironsides, Matlock and a few episodes of CSI. I have learned that aiding and abetting is a crime. I know what that is too, it is helping someone avoid the consequences of breaking the law. Well, unless you are a lawyer then it's consulting. That's why they call them counselors. But I'm wandering off track a bit. Anyway, I was listening to the morning news and here this gem. They are now giving classes on how to break the law! They are calling them classes on what to tell an illegal alien in case ICE approaches them. Yes, there is a group that are instructing illegals on how to " lawyer up " and avoid apprehension. This group claims they are teaching illegals their rights! Well, I call that aiding and abetting! If you sneak into peoples homes, take there goods and services, I know about it but fail to tell you, I am aiding and abetting! That's what the law calls it. A few years back some criminals in Baltimore were producing video's and distributing them for free. They were called, " stop snitching " and addressed the problem of people reporting their criminal activity. In the video these thugs displayed guns, cash and jewelry. The message was made clear, don't tell, don't snitch, and you will be alright. In short, allow the crime to take place. There was a big uproar from the Police about these video's. A string operation was launched, these people would be brought to justice! But now, not a peep, as classes are given in how to aid and abet criminals. And yes, if you are in my country illegally, you are a criminal having committed a crime! If I help you avoid the consequences of that, I am aiding and abetting. That's plain enough for anyone to see and understand. Of course, along with many other things these liberal folks want to put a spin on reality. Remember these folks think there are more them two genders. These liberals proclaim they are teaching illegals their rights! Their rights? What rights do they have in my country? Ah, here's where the lawyers jump in, there is much money to be made in this debate! Yes, mucho dinero, Amigos. Mucho, mucho dinero.
I do believe we would all agree that these illegals have basic human rights. What are those rights? Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is what is stated in the Declaration of Independence. But you must remember who wrote that and why. The colonists, if that is what you want to call them for lack of a better term, wrote those words. They were written in response to their government, the King! They were saying the King has no right to order your execution on a whim, they were saying every man should be able to live free from oppression. and every man should pursue his dreams. These men were talking about forming a new nation, not invading another one! The rights are no different, it is how you obtain those rights that is the difference!
Let me explain. Because of the freedom we enjoy in our country, because of our benevolent attitude, our history of being inclusive, immigrants have always been welcomed. Legal immigration has always been a thing, always. And also because of those attitudes and policies if you sneak into my country illegally you will not be killed, imprisoned or otherwise violated. You are given basic rights. The most important word being, basic. Unlike some nations we won't kill you at the border or use you for slave labor! But that doesn't mean you get to enjoy all the benefits of being a citizen of the United States of America! You don't! You get to be sent back to wherever you came from. From there you can exercise your right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Start your own country maybe? Not my issue if your country doesn't allow you to do that! Again, not my problem.
Well like I said I'm not a lawyer. But if you are aiding and abetting a fugitive from justice, you are culpable. You are not helping, you are further increasing the problem. Anytime you withhold justice you are acting contrary to good order and discipline. I'm incredulous that classes to do just that are being taught and justified on the news! You're a traitor! Aiding and abetting an invasion of the country. That's the way I see it anyway.
