Wake Up

The President has gone on national television and made a blatantly racist statement. He stated, I will nominate a black woman for the supreme court. Now this it isn't the first time he has done this. In fact, it was a campaign promise. Amazingly no one has said a thing about that. Leads me to wonder why? Why is that alright? Would a statement like I'm going to nominate a white male be met with the same reaction? If you answer that question honestly you know it would not. If Trump had said that would he have received the same response? I highly doubt that. The reason he said that? I can only see that as pandering. It apparently got him some votes, and he is now hoping it will bolster his polls. Well he did say his administration was going to be transparent! It is, I can see right through him! The pandering is very obvious!
Instead of saying the usual and expected line, I will select the highest qualified person I can find for the job, he simply says, I will nominate a black woman. Guess that rules out any Asian women. No Latinas' either. A man, out of the question. He further stated that black women need to be represented. What does that mean? Sounds racist to me, aren't we all Americans? Does not each member of the supreme court interpret the Constitution on the merits of what the documents says? Or are the justices supposed to interpret the Constitution based on ethnic, cultural, and racial lines? Do black women see the law differently? Are the judges supposed to represent demographics? Not in my lesson book they don't. The court is blind, justice is blind, and the interpretation of the Constitution is strictly an empirical exercise. That's how it is supposed to work.
My issue is not with having a black woman on the court. It's true we have never had a black woman on the court, but that isn't a reason to nominate anyone. That's my issue. It's simply a racist remark to say, I will nominate a black woman for the court. The qualifier being "black" and "female". Can a white woman identify as a black woman, and would that count? We haven't had one of those on the court. We haven't had any gay, bi-sexual, trans, or "other" on the court either. Does that mean we should have one of those as well? There are no illegal aliens, no migrants, no single mothers, no single fathers, no teenagers, and no celebrities! Guess we need to nominate one of each, you know, to balance the court.
What with all this "woke" stuff today how is this remark getting a pass? Has the main stream media said a thing about it? Not that I've heard. Just reporting that Biden promised to nominate a black woman to the court. Some outlets have mentioned a few names. Haven't heard one of them say, that is a racist statement! Are we really going to just ignore that? Why isn't the black community upset by that? They should be. The nominee, whoever that turns out to be, will always have that stigma attached to her. She received the nomination because she was black! The proof? The President said so himself, in campaign promises and while in office.
Looks to me like the "woke" crowd needs to wake up! Hopefully that has begun with the inflation, the shortages, and the current trend of this administration. Over two trillion dollars of debt added, and the gravy train is getting empty! Some have grown fat and lazy, eating from the "free" buffet. It is becoming time to pay for that "free" stuff! That should wake you up!

  1. You might want to look in your dictionary, as you apparently need an explanation of the word 'racist'
