Funny thing how everyone agrees that the majority should rule. You hear it from all corners, majority rules. It's a long standing right enshrined in our constitution. But, you also hear how the minority is underrepresented. Well, they are in the minority, so there is that. According to the US census bureau in 2022 60.9% of the American population were white, alone. That's a majority. Lots of "others" are upset by that. It is changing slowly and the day will come when white only isn't the majority in America. Will those folks then be the ones complaining about equality? Yes, I suspect that they will because that is the nature of human beings regardless of skin tone, national origin, religious beliefs or income level. It really is as I have pointed out many time, "everyone wants to be treated equally, until they are."
Will there come a day when claiming white only status will be an advantage. So many today saying that is the case and always has been. The reality has always been, white only is the majority. The minorities have fought for equal rights and equal treatment under the law. That has been accomplished, most notably with the civil rights act of 1964. We all know about that, ending discrimination based on race, color, religion or national origin. That was the intent of that legislation. All legislation is an attempt to change the behavior of those subject to that legislation. It hasn't changed human nature in any measurable way however. The best one can hope, for is compliance.
The only way people are influenced to change their behavior is by one of two methods, reward or punishment. It is a binary thing, as are the majority of things in nature. I hear much talk about that these days, non-binary or gender neutral leading the pack. It's all a fantasy, there are only two genders. There are multiple ways in which people identify themselves, no argument there, but the truth remains, there are only two. You can pass all the legislation you want regarding that but it will not change human nature. All you can do is either reward or punish. The minority is always looking for the reward while the majority is usually punished. The minority declaring equality while the majority decries the loss of equity. Majority rules, remember that, so when the minority gets their way, it isn't fair. It is a loss of equity.
It's a meme I see often, and one that asks a good question, why are we allowing the 3% to set policy? What happened to the majority rules thinking? There is a clear majority on the use of gender specific restrooms. Regardless of how anyone identifies themselves the majority says you should use the restroom that matches your gender. You don't really get to choose that! There is also a clear majority of people that strongly believe there are only two genders, isn't that an amazing thing? There are a minority of people that believe there are more than two. More amazing is that the majority is being punished for believing otherwise.
Don't think so? Try saying all that out loud. You will even hear testimony from medical experts supporting this more than two gender ideology. Yes I understand there are aberrations in nature, usually we regard those as defects, but no more, the minority insists that is normal. I say, trust the majority in physical evidence. There are those born with six fingers but that isn't normal, not in the majority it is a aberration. A defect, although we are not supposed to say that anymore.
There are also experts in the field of our mind. We call them psychiatrists and phycologists. They study what people think. They are supposed to be the authority on what "thoughts" are right and what "thoughts" are wrong. All they really do is attempt to explain the actions of others. If they do this, they're right, if they do that, they're wrong. And the book on all of that has been revised and rewritten many times.
All at once what was a treatable mental illness becomes the normal thing. Today the DSM, that's the book head doctors use, lists gender dysphoria as a mental illness. But, the diagnosis has changed on that. Yes, those people believe they have been assigned the wrong gender at birth, that they really feel like they should be opposite of what they are, but that doesn't qualify as having gender dysphoria. You have to feel distress and discomfort along with that. It's all pretty funny if you sit and read about that. What we call, talking out of both sides of your mouth. What they are trying to say is this, those people have a mental illness but it isn't a danger to society in any physical sense, so it is okay. Hey, we're all a little nuts aren't we. Yes, and all we need to do is convince everyone else it is normal. Just pass a law, that'll do the trick, you now have the permission of society. Anyone that disagrees, will be punished.
