self-evident

  What's a fair share? When everyone pays the same amount, that's a fair share. Isn't that what most people would respond? Well, not so fast. There are exceptions to that rule. Those exceptions will be predicated upon what I feel is fair. You are never paying your fair share while I certainly am, in fact, I'm usually paying more than that. That's the real rule in a fair share. If you have more than me, that's not fair. It's fair enough if I have more than you however; because I'm paying my fair share. Now if you have nothing, are extremely poor and on government assistance you certainly shouldn't be required to pay your share. That doesn't mean you shouldn't have everything that those paying their fair share have, that wouldn't be fair. I should pay more to ensure that you get those things. I being someone other than myself that is, anyone that has more than me for example. That's fair.
  Well that doesn't sound right now does it? That's the reason we have decided that fair is on a sliding scale, like medical costs sometimes are. What's fair for you may not be fair for me. That scale is measured by how much wealth you have compared to me. The more wealth you have, the more you should pay. Only that way is it fair. Once you have paid enough to elevate me to your level, I can then start paying my fair share. Of course, the only way that can happen is by exhausting your wealth, but that's fair. After all, you can afford it! You only acquired that wealth by me spending my money on your product or service, you owe me for that. You got rich off of me. You are definitely an evil person not paying your fair share.
  There is only one solution to this, legislated charity. Now that is fair. We can't promote or support any religious institutions or belief systems, that isn't fair. What we can do is legislate charity. You will give to others once you have reached a certain level of wealth. Let's say a few million or so. Yeah, a millionaire can certainly afford to pay my electric bill for me, should be no problem. They can also pay for my food, clothing and housing while they are at it. Hey, it's only fair. We'll call it taxes and fees though, you know, legal terms to make it fair. A wealth tax! Yes, that's the ticket, we will tax your wealth. You can't be making that much without giving some away, and I'll decide who gets that, not you. The government will make those moral decision for you, it's secular you know. That's why it isn't charity, it's a tax. A secular society on a sliding scale. Now, that's what the founding fathers had in mind. That's what they meant by saying, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.-" How can I pursue my happiness without your money? Only fair for you to share, that a fair share. Below is an image of everyone's fair share.
