boundaries

One has to wonder why so many people are now protesting against the enforcement of law. Don't be distracted, don't be misled or confused by all the rhetoric, that is what is happening in LA and spreading across the land. The goal is to prevent ICE agents from doing their job. The rule of the mob! That's what they are supporting at this time. It has little to do with human rights or perceived injustice, nothing to do with empathy, it has to do with money. We need these people to pick our crops and do the jobs Americans don't want to do. But those folks are getting are beginning to get restless, they want what the "other" folks have. They are getting vocal!
How can we quell all of that? Well, perhaps we could just give them a bit more freedom to move about, you know, leave the plantation. Of course, they would need a card of some type, a pass, some papers. But not if we just ignore the law! No need to wait for legislation to effect a change, just assemble the mob. And just like in the movies, bring fire.
You know how all this got started, this public protesting and ignoring of the law? It began years ago and like a rot has spread. Now it's true there have been periods in history, times when all that was justified, but this isn't one of those times. This time it is simply the mob against the authorities. Those that are the legal residents of the country protesting the arrest of those that are illegally in the country. It's really quite similar to all this "legalization" of marijuana and gambling. The reason behind that being, they are going to do it anyway and we shouldn't waste resources prosecuting any of that. Besides, look at all the tax revenue it is generating. It's a state thing! Except that it isn't, at least with pot it isn't, it is still a federal offense. We have chosen to ignore all of that though.
My ancestors were immigrants. Yes, all of us had ancestors that were immigrants at some point in history. Some say it began with the migration across the great land bridge into the north American continent. Others say it began with the migration up out of Africa. Still others say we came from another planet. It's all very interesting, a fine topic of conversation, but has little relevance to today. Simply because you broke the law yesterday, isn't an excuse for breaking the law today. It doesn't work like that. There have been several conferences, world gatherings to define human rights, the "rules" of warfare and any number of economic policies. Was every single nation involved in those? No. That's the short answer. It was all the "civilized" nations that participated. Boundaries were drawn up. And there are rules for crossing those boundaries.
What I'm talking about are enforcing those rules, those boundaries. If we do not abide by the rule of law, in every instance, we do not have a "civilized" society. We are not a union when that happens. You could even say we are hiring "scabs." Why would anyone want to see the destruction of America? Why would you support that? That is the question you have to ask yourself if you are supporting what is going on right now. If you are going to allow wholesale trespass that is what you are doing. No one is above the law has been a rallying cry. Well, apparently that only applies to legal residents of the United States as illegals are being supported in breaking the law. Apparently they are indeed above the law and you are willing to burn your own city to the ground to defend that.
There are still those attempting to follow the rule of law, doing things the right way and they are welcomed into the country. No one is doing anything to prevent legal immigration. There are limits, however. The law provides for limits on all of that in an effort to ensure equal opportunity for everyone around the world. The reason for limits should be obvious to anyone that has ever provided for another person. I can open a soup kitchen, feed maybe twenty five or thirty people a day but I can't feed thirty thousand! A country is no different. It's a boundary. Yes, boundaries are a necessary thing, an essential thing, and should be enforced at all times.

Here's a few more boundaries. You can't just cross any of these without proper authority either!
