it's snowing

  This morning a light snow is falling, we're expecting two to four inches. The weatherman on television has been talking about that since last evening. All manner of charts, radar images, historical data and predictions. All the same warnings and advice about your animals and your kids! Dress in layers, be careful it might be slippery. The schools are closed. There is some optimism that we will survive this, if we just listen closely and follow the recommendations. I just made a fresh pot of coffee, I'm ready.

  Outside I can hear the snowplows are they rush by. I'm just smiling thinking about that. Yesterday they  pretreated the roads with a brine solution, the snow stakes were straighten up. I'm smiling because I just can't see any snow being plowed. But the panic is setting in and the plows must be rolling, the road to Starbucks must remain open at all costs. The talk is already that this will cause a budget issue, the cost of crews and fuel. And power lines could also be effected. This snow is wet! It's heavy and will put a strain on things. The situation is getting worse every minute.

 I just wonder how when I was a young kid in school my parents could have been so reckless and uncaring. The roads weren't plowed until there was actually snow on them, at least five or six inches. Schools weren't closed, put your boots on and wear your gloves. Why, even my dog was outside, he went to the bus stop with me. He didn't have boots or a coat on. We were just expected to go to school like every other day. No one knew how much or for how long that snow might come down. Of course no one was surprised by that either, it's winter you know, it snows in the winter. We called it the changing of the seasons, now we know better, it's climate change. We need to take precautions, take action right away. The end is near.

  I see all this a part of the continuing trend of paranoia. We sure have become a skittish lot, we Americans. Nature is trying to kill us all. Just had a pandemic that nearly destroyed us and it is still mutating. If the prevention don't kill us, the virus will. Personally I'm more concerned with the prevention than the actual disease itself, or virus. The climate is changing! The climate is changing! OMG, the climate is changing. Then we still have all these people eating animals. Such barbarism must be stopped, Vegan is the only moral and ethical path to take. And it is like abortion, it's a choice! But you don't get to choose about an animals body, that's not yours. 

 And don't forget about the  MAGA people. Those folks are dangerous, most likely Nazi's or at the very least Fascists! There is only way to save yourself, let the government take care of you. Well, it's a human right you know. Healthcare and Government are human rights. It's what you deserve. Those damn billionaires are hogging all the money and it should be redistributed, by the government, to ensure equality for all. The borders should be open to all, it even says that of the Statue of Liberty. Just come on in and receive all the same benefits and entitlements as everyone else. You deserve it. If you're not down with that, you are doomed to live in a autocratic society with a despot for a leader. You should be very, very afraid.
